Even though this year is different, I hope you have a wonderful holiday season!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
When Lindsey and Ryan told us they were expecting, I knew just what to expect. They fostered our dog before we adopted her - they love their dogs, including their fosters, like children and I have no idea how they got our pup to wear their cute outfits or sit to have her nails painted. :) They were lucky enough to have a girl and I know we'll be doing lots of sessions with their baby girl and adorable dogs as she grows up! Lindsey requested a quick newborn session in front of a willow tree for baby Willow and found the perfect location!
Andrew and I spent some time chatting and walking around a small park near his home. He's a soccer player and isn't sure what he wants to do after he graduates yet, but he thinks a realtor might be a good option! Andrew was willing to explore all the nooks and crannies at the park and we got some great shots because of it!
The first time I met Sophia, I'm pretty sure she was in 4th grade. Even typing that makes me feel old, because now she's a gorgeous senior at New Richmond High School! Walking through downtown Hudson, she wasn't sure about being the subject of someone else's photos (not the most comfortable for anyone, really!) but she completely rocked her session!
It's unbelievable how one virus can impact everything for months. Ben and Colleen had been planning to get married in August - a typical wedding, at a golf course, with lots of family and friends - when along came coronavirus and all of the health and safety regulations and best practices that came with it.
Ben and Colleen knew they wanted to get married one way or another and, while they wanted to be able to get together with everyone, they knew that wasn't the most important part of their day. As time went by and things didn't seem to be getting better, they started to adjust their plans for their big day.
When August 15th rolled around, their wedding day looked different than they originally envisioned but it was absolutely perfect! Their ceremony fit them exactly and they were able to celebrate with their closest family. As a bonus, they'll be planning to celebrate with everyone next summer!
My brother is getting married in 2 weeks! I am so excited that they've trusted me to photograph their big day as well as an engagement/family session. We went to Big Falls County Park in Fall Creek, WI and spent the afternoon climbing on the falls and playing in the water.
Nick's love of percussion and music permeated the beginning of his senior portrait session - I bet you can't guess what his plans after high school are! We were lucky enough to start with photos at Hudson High School then head to downtown to get the pictures his mom really wanted. :) We may have kept the percussion theme for some of our stops later in the session though!
While Gene and Jess said they weren't "outdoorsy", we decided to take a walk through the prairie for their portraits. This ended up being a perfect (but hot) location for their portraits! I can't wait to meet the rest of their family on their big day - in only a month and a half! :)
